Cough Remedy

With no sugar or caffeine, eating veggies and fresh fruit,
these natural remedies are very powerful.

Cod liver oil - 1 Tbs mixed in a little cold lemonade
or apple juice (keep it in
fridge, it's easier to take cold)

EHB - (contains echinacea and goldenseal so decide if
you want to take the capsule
or have the tea..don't take too much goldenseal)

EHB is very powerful for sinus infections.
It helped me sleep for a solid 4 hrs w/
a bad cough.

OR IN Herbal Tea

1. 8-10 drops echinacea (I use
Avena botanicals

2. 8-10 drops goldenseal

3. 8-10 drops Lung Tonic

4. Raw local honey is best since it
contains trace minerals, pollen,
amino acids, vitamins, live enzymes,
propolis, and antioxidants.

5. Sinus Rinse w/ lukewarm salty water...
I get a small paper cup, put a
little sea salt (just covers the bottom of cup),
plug one nostril and
slightly snort it in (don't breathe while doing it),
then tip my head to
the side(you can feel the liquid moving from one
side to the other) let
the salt water drip out then I have a tissue ready
to blow my nose. (This gets out
amazing amounts of infection and the salt water
gently cleanses your sinus')

6. Wet Sock Treatment

When to use this treatment: Whenever there
is any congestion in the ears,
nose, throat, or chest, especially if sleep
is interrupted or disturbed.
This treatment draws the congestion and
pressure away form your ears nose
throat and lungs. It has also been shown
to stimulate WBC activity,
thereby providing a better night sleep and
a faster recovery. Children
generally sleep exceptionally well on nights
the “set socks” are used.

What you need: Some hot water (to initially
soak your feet), Cold water
(to soak the cotton socks), Cotton socks,
wool socks, a comfortable bed to
fall asleep.

Instructions:

First: Warm feet in warm water while
soaking summer-weight cotton socks in
ice water. 1st rule of hydrotherapy is
to always apply the cold part of a
treatment on a warmed part of the body.
Sometimes with very young
children their feet are so warm to begin
with this step can be skipped.
Soak for about 5 minutes or more until feet
are obviously warm to the
touch

Second: Wring out cotton socks so they are
just damp to the touch and put
them on.

Third: Cover wet sock completely with dry
wool socks and immediately go to
bed for the night. Wool is very important
here and should cover the
cotton entirely. Do not continue with any
activity once socks are on, add
extra blankets to the bed for warm sleeping.

In the morning all socks should be dry and
warm. If cotton socks are
still wet, wring them out more and/or warm
your feet more the following
night.

THIS TREATMENT IS BEST DONE 3 NIGHTS IN A ROW

(and it REALLY WORKS! it's amazing that the
socks really do end up being
dry in the morning, also once you go to bed
your feet feel warm not cold
even w/ the cold wet socks on them..I've found
it quite comforting, but
make sure you use wool socks on the outside.)
